MEMBERSHIP
iamOKC is a movement. What is a movement, and what does it mean to be a part of one? Movements are organic, yet organized; ideological, yet they call to action. They ask hard questions, and don't expect easy answers. They foster change. They strive to build what ought to be in the midst of what is. A movement only survives by the passion of those involved in carrying out its mission. IAM is such a movement. A group of artists and creative catalysts united in wrestling with deep questions of art, faith and humanity. It is people who love art, who love others, and who love Creation. This movement seeks to uphold and extol the work of all those who, by their craft, are rehumanizing our world.
This vision resists organizational "membership" models. There are no member numbers, dues, or expirations. We are a movement working to be generous and inspire generosity. We need everyone who is part of it to help sustain it, whether through participation, financial contributions, art donations, in-kind services, volunteering, or even just spreading the word. IAM is who it is made up of, and if you are invested in these ideals, you are a part of IAM.
ADVISORY COUNCIL
IAM Oklahoma City will be served by an Advisory Council. Its form and function will be similar to that of a board of a 501(c)3, and may at some point, if it would best serve the movement, oganization as such.
STAFF
At this point IAM Oklahoma City will be served by an all volunteer staff. Potential staff roles include:
- Director
- Regional Liaison
- Programming Coordinator
- Treasurer (this person will also be a member of the Advisory Council)
